Default YDC Auctions - would less be more ?

I'm still new so looking for comments from old hands.

There are 120 items on this months YDC auctions, is that a lot for YDCs?

There doesn't seem to be many bidders spread over so many auctions, so would it be better if there were less items to choose from? (though ideally more bidders )

I've listed 7 YDC items (had meant to list 6, miscounted) I'm think about listing 3 or 4 next month, am I over-doing it by listing 6 or 7 items?

YDC = Your Donation Counts, eBid's monthly charity auctions.

I'm not an old hand by any stretch of the imagination, but as I have participated in YDC for a year or so, I'll voice my opinion anywho. IMHO the more listings the better, as it gives potential bidders more choices, plus ups the number of donations to various charities. We may not all make a ton of $$$, but I don't think listing fewer items is the answer, rather each seller should list as many (or as few) items as he/she feels comfortable listing.

    Just my 2 cents...

Best wishes for many sales to all,

120 no we have had a lot more then that, when i run the YDC I can remember a few times when we had over 300 auctions going on ydc , you should ask jay aka patriot how much he got for a bar of choccy once, we had loads of banter going on, everyone hated everyone back then but it was all good fun.

The highest amount we had was the YDC in aid of Maureen who was Crackers wife (Chris if anyone can remember him) Maureen had died of Cancer.

You can list 1 or 1000 - the choice is yours - no one will think any less of you either way - it's all about wanting to make a difference and helping others in any way you can.

Had to laugh at your reply, the thought of uploading 1000 photos in the pimp thread, I have enough difficulty with 7.

Is there a secret way of copying/saving the photos after the first time rather than uploading all photos for each post?

Hehehe I do exaggerate at times

If I remember correctly, you can only post a max of 10 photos per posting.

I just upload images from my files on my PC.

    Hiya Em,
To pimp your YDC items, all you have to do is look for your previous pimp - then click on "reply with Quote"
Then remove the QUOTE (in brackets) at the beginning and the /QUOTE (in brackets) at the end.
Click on 'go advanced' to see how it looks, then alter any text as you wish.
    Hope this helps! xxx

Cheers Trish, sometimes the answer is so obvious one wants to kick oneself for not thinking of it.
