There are 35 New Zealand stamps for sale in the US - none of which are yours.

Scenario is that a buyer happens upon eBid - the first thing they see is the search box and the obvious quick thing to do is to type in the country of interest.... and a large majority will type in the stamp as well. They may well conclude on that basis that there is nothing here for them and leave.

Does anyone recommend a good tutorial on how to effectively use Pinterest as a promotional tool? It seems like you need to know more about it than "just pinning."

On the subject of Pinterest, I don't know much about it myself, but I often browse for pictures of things I am interested in and pin them to one of my boards. If I'm notified by email that anyone has started following me, I always follow them back (even if only on some of their boards). They will receive pictures in their 'feed' that I have pinned, and they might click on them or pin them to their own boards - in which case all their followers will also see them. I've noticed a few views straight after I've pinned my listings, so I suppose it must be a good thing. I've no way of knowing whether any sales have been generated from Pinterest, but there must be a chance in there somewhere.

I will put something short and concise on here tomorrow. Have done it loads of times now... There should be something official from eBid but I am not sure where it is or what it contains. But I will give you my take on it should you wish to have a look.

Wow... that brings up some interesting possibilities. I just typed "New Zealand Stamps" into the search box right above the forum here, and got 1339 results. Why the discrepancy, I wonder? I suppose that means that if you search from the forum, the results are "global?"

"Stamps" is an interestingly ambiguous search term. People might search for "stamps," but in the "hard" sense (except on sites with "intelligent" search) that should only return listings with more than one stamp. But we always search for the "plural" even when looking for the "singular"... nice reminder, thank you!

I'm interested in conducting some experiments, now... thinking about listing (since I can do that with stamps) a number of nearly identical stamps across several selling platforms and seeing how each one "places" within Google search, while running concurrently with the same title.

My search was based solely on US sellers, your search would have included those who ship to the US from around the world. Using either Stamp or Stamps will (should) bring up the same number on the eBid search - as the engine will include the plural - so it doesn't really matter whether you use stamp or stamps.. just so long as one of them is present.
