The sad thing about many of these such cases is that they are driven by the, so called, PC Brigade. Members of which take it upon themselves to take offence on behalf of other races - usually without bothering to ask those they believe should be offended if they actually are. This damages race relations as the wrong party usually gets the blame for the silliness.

Some years ago the PC brigade stopped bakers from calling their biscuits Gingerbread Men and they had to replace the name with Gingerbread Person. Don't know what happened, but I can go in a shop now and still get Gingerbread Men.
