eBid should have run with this within hours of the programme.
Create a eBid username for the bad guy (whatever his name was on TV).
Create toys for sale that are searchable and in line with the story under that username.
If anyone clicks on the toy listings they get a pop up message that the user has been suspended for suspicious activity by the eBid Super Security Team. They are assisting the FBI who are investigating this villain who featured in Toy Story of Terror. That is an example - the message would have to fit in with the story line.
Get in touch with the programme makers and tell them what has been done - thanking them for highlighting a villain on eBid and will be sending them eBid goodies as a reward.
If you get third party publicity like 'Toy Story of Terror' - you need to grab hold of it and make it work for you. These are the situations that can be turned around as a positive for eBid, not to mention a lot of fun. When done properly and quickly it would stand a decent chance of going viral.
