    Default Item not received

    I paid for an item over a month ago and have not received it. The user is now no longer active. I have sent a note to support but have not recieved any help....is this website just a scam?

    Therese - sorry you had such a problem!! No, the site is not a scam, obviously, but there are poor sellers on every auction site online, I'm sure. The best thing for you to do at this point is to claim your money back via however you paid for it..........paypal has a time limit in which to file a claim. EBid is just a venue for sellers, and you are dealing with individuals and businesses here. If you paid via credit card, then claim back from them. Sounds like you will get no joy from the seller, if you haven't heard from them by now. You could try emailing them, if you have their email address which is at the bottom of the sold listing.     You can claim back from paypal within 45 days of the original payment.

    Was the seller from the US or UK? if they were from the latter your item could still be in the postal system, i sent an item to Italy during the Summer and it took over 2 months to get there! I gave the seller a refund but they contacted me recently to say it had arrived and could they pay me again

    I would put a claim in if you havent run out of time.

    For future reference make sure the seller is active, send them a message before you purchase, i have done so on several occassions.

    I assume that "over a month ago" is hyperbole as you joined eBid slightly less than a month ago? What was the item? Was it expensive?

    US seller - has previous negs for non delivery of the item in question which is probably why the account has been whacked.

    $9.99 DVD purchased on the 16th September - so within the paypal time to get a refund.

    Nemo has not been found - get a paypal refund and I hope you can find Nemo very soon.
