Holiday Settings or Hide Listings

Hi

I have just uploaded a heap of stuff via the excel method, however I have uploaded the basics and then will edit the listings to my preferred standards.

Because some of my listings are now 'scanty' I want to 'hide' them. How should I go about this? Do I take my shop off line, do I close the listings (and can I edit closed listings?). What's the best way to do this?

If it were me I'd put the store on holiday, (tick the items viewable but not biddable box), do the corrections and then take the holiday notice off, IMHO it seems like this would be the easiest fix.

Sorry to be dim but where is the 'tick the items viewable but not biddable box' - is this all I need to do to set holiday settings?

It's OK we're all there sometimes, (me most of the time). Go to My Notices, create a holiday notice and tick the box to make it active, (sorry about the other, I miswrote, I remember it being there at one time, but apparently now it isn't).
