I saw the title and was going to ask for a hit or two but nevermind.

That is not the point I'm trying to make.

Many ebidders (Buyers) recognize this as a handicap to ebid progressing.

I can't understand why a seller will list something over there with associated fees, and yet list the same item here at a higher price when the fees are so much cheaper.

When those sales do not come here, they complain, Why?

They need to sell smart, get lean and mean if you want ebid to prosper.

Small profit and quick turnaround should be the mantra for success.

As long as I can stay ahead of the game I'm ok; but it takes fine tuning to get your sellers engine roaring!

Is there much call for this, one of my suppliers stocks it, but to get a good price I would need to buy quite a bit, and I am sure I could then beat that price.

That's the business of supply and demand.

To get near the top of a particular tree you need to be a big player. (biz seller)

    Hobby seller; forget it.

I always check out the competition whenever i'm listing.....and don't always stick to the same profit margins.

On more than one occasion, i've noticed a seller on the "other side" who is selling at an obvious loss,
    mainly on small insignificant items.

Question is.....have they got the buyer on board who then goes on to spend an obscene amount of money?

I've never used the "loss leader" strategy myself........but i've come pretty close to it.

It takes all sorts of marketing ploys to make the ecommerce world work for you..........and as a wise person once said, "it is easier to make £1 a million times than it is to make a million pound once"!

    That's why I like collectibles.
They are usually not made any more, are dispersed widely .
It doesn't matter that much how big your wallet is, either you find it or you don't.

I've had stuff in my hands that some sellers are asking incredible money for.

But I found it low down on the chain and made my decent profit and still undercut them massively.
Manufactured stuff on the other hand is a dog fight!
