You can't have it both ways, those who import feedback are either honest or dishonest. So you must be either fool or out to stir up trouble.

But your 'opinion' is contradictory. The only plausible reasons for that are the two I outlined.

The points on both sides of the debate are interesting.

In my opinion, it's just important to see how old the feedback is and to contact the seller before purchasing, to make sure that they are still around eBid.

I wanted a fresh start on eBid so didn't want to import my feedback but I got around the problem by placing a Repatoo badge on my homepage so if buyers were really interested in seeing my past conduct then they could do so.



I can proudly say that all my feedback here is from eBid !

Those people so anti imported feedback must have one hell of a time at the interview when they go for a new job...

So true. We imported our hard-earned eBay feedback, and removed it as soon as we had a reasonable number earned here. Getting those first 10 or 20 is SO hard! Also, considering the ugly games they are playing over there, I view anyone with a lot of favorable feedback from them as trustworthy.

These are discussion boards where we are free to express our opinions. They are not designed for a slanging match.nor will I be drawn into one. We all try and be friendly with each other and help each other. By the way you were cute in 1955 Poacher and I love the quote.

Opinions yes, but when you state that I and other honest sellers are 'misleading and unethical' because we reference prior feedback then that is an attack and not an opinion.

I didn't import my fb, (as I mostly bought on eBay many moons ago and didn't/don't know how to import seller fb from other alt sites), but I don't see it as a bad thing if others do; IMHO it's a personal choice and not a good or bad thing. I've bought from sellers with 0 fb and sellers with fb in the thousands, as long as there aren't a lot of neg's, I don't worry too much about it.

S'funny. I have already had this exact same conversation with stamps elsewhere on the boards.
Its all getting rather tiresome and repetitive.
