No - a pony is any horse which is less than 14 hands. Now, what is a hand?

The beast has to be the Tasmanian Devil.

With the mad expression and movements....... ah, that is the Loony Tunes version.

The animal is actually quite clever, although not so good at international travel or the Green Cross Code. And the animal has very good quote from wiki: "there are almost no devils outside Australia"

But the Lion is the King of the Jungle, and as such could certainly be considered the Beast.

Interesting that you should mention the Tasmanian Devil. I am trying to sell a vintage Loony Tunes 60 Photo Holder Album of the mad "beast". Think I should list it on eBid?

The Lion is only king of their own jungles - the Tiger has more bite. However both sleep a lot - so they can't be king all the time and are often kept awake by noisy animals - talking of those noisy animals brings us to the Noisy Night Monkey.

Vintage Loony Tunes item? - an absolute must to list on eBid, good keywords on those sort of items to deliver people into your shop. Keyword strong items like that are sometimes the most valuable asset to your shop - the most valuable assets are not necessarily what ends up selling - the valuable asset is the listing that gets the buyer through the shop door.
