I still think if a seller has not listed it at a price acceptable to them, that is tough. The seller is responsible for the advertsing, and upholding thier end of the deal.

While a seller listing an auction is obviously hoping that the selling price will exceed the starting bid, you are correct in your assertion that the seller is required to uphold their part of the deal once the auction ends with a winner.

It is a contract that should be honoured by both the seller & buyer!
