That is not a true statement, you have have to offer at least one electronic payment or internet merchant credit card option.
Also if Paypal can have such a simple feature i am sure other payment companies can do it as well.
Payment options for most listings
For most categories, you need to offer at least one electronic payment or Internet merchant credit card option. This provides a fast and secure transaction for you and the buyer. When a buyer clicks the Pay Now button in My eBay, the listing, or email notification, they pay you immediately and the payment is processed through the option you've chosen. You receive an email telling you you've been paid and you can ship the item.
You can also offer payment upon pickup. Payment by personal check, cashier's check, bank-to-bank transfers, or money order isn't allowed for most eBay purchases.
You'll choose your payment options when you list your item.
Here's a comparison of payment options for most listing types. For details on each electronic option, click its name.

This is from the Fee Bay site.
"All sellers on eBay.co.uk must offer to accept PayPal. The limited exceptions to this are detailed in the Restricted section below."
So if I buy from multiple sellers on the.co.uk site I can insist on paying them (in one operation) using PayPal.
These are the limited exceptions.
"Listings in the following categories may offer any of the payment methods above and are not required to offer PayPal as a payment option:
- Cars, Motorcycles, Aircraft, Boats, Caravans, Trailers, Trucks (commercials), Services and Property
In some categories, or for some transactions, PayPal may be the only method permitted. If applicable, this will be advised during the listing flow."

MY ATTITUDE IS A RESULT OF YOUR ACTIONS!!!
IF YOU DONT LIKE IT BLAME YOURSELF.
I just had a customer buy two items and because I have a setting for Enable Multiple item Checkout on, It allows the customer to make their payment on a combine purchase order. So this is one capability that eBid offers and it makes it easier for the customer. The seller just needs to activate this option and the customer won't have to make multiple payments.
