Trish, I got my new blinds today for two room we have finished, not our bedroom as yet as he is now allegedly going to plumb a hand basin in before wallpapering ( it will prevent the water ruining the wallpaper i suppose) could not believe the price of taps these days.

No losses while I was B&Qing.

Hi little button, glad to hear you got your new blinds, who is putting them up?
As you know, I had to struggle with mine on my own, as OH is hopeless at these things (he does it on purpose, I know)
I am going to list my blind cleaner for YDC - I only used the blerdy thing once, and the whole lot of blinds fell down on me, and decapitated some of my orchids too that were sunbathing on the windowsill.
Do not bid on it button - it's cursed.

OH is allegedly putting them up......but if he doesn't get a shift on I will pick up the drill and brackets and no way is he going to let me do it, the bathroom blind will have to go on the outside as it will need cutting down to go in the recess........this could be good he is grouting tiles at the moment. Were your blinds wide or thin slats>>just in case I bid on the devil blind cleaner, in my last house I used to hoover them and then chuck them on the lawn and go oner them with a hose pipe and soft yard or car washing brush but I havent got a lawn anymore

Started knitting again anyway. Almost finished the other sleeve. Have to admit to losing 1 earlier (hurrah!). I've got vertical blinds. Can you use the blind cleaner on them?

Well, if I could have got my blinds down, I would have done the same, buttons.
Would have been so much easier than trying to clean them when they were fixed up (permanently) in the window.
To remove them would have involved too much work, and as it was a large blind, it was darned heavy.
My blind was standard slats - about 1" apart.
The accursed cleaner that brought about the fall of the house of Richardson (E.A.Poe, substitute Usher) will be gladly sent to a new owner, and a useless husband will be thown in free of charge - not that anyone would want him .. lol!

Hi Penni - I will list the blind cleaner tomorrow, all being well.

Apparently, they clean blinds with slats up to one inch apart - I would guess this means vertical or horizontal - but as your blinds are vertical, they would not collect all the grime and dust that horizontal blinds do.

Oops! Forgot to say congrats on your sale!

Good morning! It's coffee / tea time and I am late so must dash. Nothing to report apart from the fact I am still changing the postage prices. I had a lot more enthusiasm last year. Maybe I am getting old.
