It looks like eBid is creating duplicate listings

If, as I suspect, sold items are sometimes relisted in error by the software, this will not defend you !

I have yet to have that happen, fingers crossed, but there seems to be multiple glitches with the sold and closed items. I check everyday.

I just had to delet 3 listings that were on twice, I just hope there aren't any sold ones that have been relisted as well thats 5 or 6 I have found this week so far. I have now written the totals down to try and keep track of them.

This is why I don't use the Auto Repost, too many problems. I close and relist items myself so I can keep track of what is being relisted.

I should have mentioned, this is the method I use. It's easy to manually repost the entire page of unsold items after I check against my inventory list each morning.

Too late I deleted them and would have to go through all the listings again to remember, will know for next time or if I find any that are sold or gone off into cyber space.

We've been a victim of duplicate listings also. A customer today bought an item we no longer have in stock, sold out until later this year when it is re-issued, but yet, there was a listing for it! We're going to have to check all our listings over the weekend to make sure there are no duplicates. We've also found that items that should be listed are NOT listed lol! Think eBid is in the running for a 3rd Gremlins movie here hehe!

Apparently the listing count is having a bit of trouble getting things sorted out today. Count on my auctions I'm running page says 12, I count 11. All about me page says 12, but when you add them all up by department, they only total 11. I wonder if eBid has switched over to Obama math like they use in Washington to work out budget issues? Don't seem to work well there either.

Jabek, there are two issues - one is where to find an accurate number for how many listings you have running - the answer to that is "ebid search for auctions by a seller"

Yes. I agree that the latter is a much more serious issue. I do think, however, that having two different total showing doesn't give the impression of a well oiled machine to potential users. But I suppose it is merely a matter of what sort of image the site wishes to project.

Just had the "phantom relist" occur again. Sadly, I didn't notice it until the item sold, so that's another unhappy buyer. I'm part of the way through a stock check against ebid listings. In the next week, it will be complete, I hope. After that I should be able to monitor more closely.
