Yes and a bit of Irish, too, if you like it that way.

    Cheers,

Not much of a drinker. Probably drank enough during the seventies and eighties.

Trish, I will check out your links. Thanks for those.
    Here ya go! Enjoy!

Stupid me made a sale yesterday (my first this month, yay!) and told the buyer I'd mail it today, then remembered there's no mail today, due to federal holiday, so have to mail it out tomorrow. Explained this to the buyer, hope they understand. I used to be better at remembering things like holidays when I was working.

Hugs, cheers and a happy Monday,

Sues - it's a steam driven traction engine, usually fuelled by coal - like a steam train.
When Dominic was a little boy, he was absolutely mad on traction engines, we used to take him to all the rallies.
Google traction engines to find out more!

Yes Sue Trish is right about the traction engines.
They were used in farming too, threshing and such also the particular one in the photos and video I posted (called a Fowler) was also a road locomotive and used for pulling heavy machinery as you can see in the photos. Great and very powerful engines. There are different makes. The Showmen (as it says) was used more in fairgrounds but also on the roads like the fowler. But the fowler was built stronger for more heavy duty pulling etc, a real workhorse, bit like me really lol

Dzambo thanks for your post, didn't realise you were the one I bought the film from?
Either way you seem to be taking a keen interest, I'm a bit confused. Also you are assuming the film is for me personally and also what you think I would like to watch based on that film.
I do come in here for cocktails, music and chat. I don't think I've ever seen you in here,
didn't realise you were still around either as I thought. you 'Sold Out' and also had little time for the forums, as work was the priority? though everyone is welcome to come in here and for the very thing the thread was started for and general banter just like a real bar.
As has already been said you are welcome to have a drink here, if not cocktails we serve coffee, tea or alternatives.
I rarely talk about films though, and certainly haven't mentioned that one in here or anywhere, other than to purchase it.
Maybe I've had one too many in here and missed something?
    (goes out, scratching head...)

Thanks Trish I will definitely join you there hon, can't spot any malt whisky but maybe a shot or 2 of glenfiddich will help, feeling a bit off today.
What's ole JR been up to? lol
I loved the Madam Butterfly earlier, think I will put that on again, I also love that. It's so tragic, very sad story. I do know it but would love to see both that and Carmen live. Have you ever been to the opera? Has anyone else in here been to one?

So…’’Salomina’’….how are you like movie ‘’Fracture’’…?.......
In my opinion is not masterpiece from cinema what I see in my life from other movies all around the world but still I think is good piece of the movie especially how many fantasy and no brain stuff is released in the past many years…I don’t like to watch boring and easy predictable stuff especially with happy ending for good sides…is not real and is not happening in real life that much…well…is just my opinion…I give you next one suggestions is not masterpiece because most of time that stuff cost much more money always doesn’t matter how is the movie old and you’re probably not willing to throw out that much for the movie…so…I give you one affordable but very good stuff and title of the movie is ‘’13 Tzameti’’…from 2005 and is real story and that stuff is based on thinks which is happening in the past couple years especially in Europe and many regular peoples is not aware of that way of life…the movie entirely is shoot on black & white and reason for that is very good, and shows you how people can go low in regular life and have fun and in that process make bunch of the money but in this case gives other sides low side to make bunch of the money in only 24 hours period of time but catch is low side must put on line only one thinks what have for sure…many in the past shoot similar stuff even Hollywood try but is not good and is not look that real how is this movie…and by the way speaking language in the movie is French with English subtitles…so…this is it if you catch this movie in future or you’re not watch I give you suggestions watch it…good day to you ‘’Salomina’’ and good luck…Dzambo going back for my job…

Dzambo - absolutely no disrespect to you sir, but I think Salomina prefers to keep her purchases as her "business" - as we all do.
Please respect her privacy, I don't really care about whether or not you drink cocktails - that is your chosen prerogative.
You are welcome for coffee anytime - but we do respect each others privacy, so would appreciate it if you would do the same.
    Many thanks.

    Hiya Sal -
I have never been to the opera, it is on my "to do" list before I pop my clogs.
I have said that ... maybe one day - I would be able to go to a famous opera house in London - stay overnight at a posh hotel, dress up really classical - and enjoy one of Puccinis operas .... my fave is Butterfly.
I love Bizet' s Carmen too .... this is my all time great piece from the opera ... Taboo.

I once watched a film in black and white - Lord only knows how many years ago - it was based on Carmen - and the music absolutely knocked me out for a six.
What a star - everything I would love to have been - too late now, alas!
Enjoy the trip to the opera Sal - maybe one day we could fulfil our dreams and go together ... you remind me of Carmen!
