Help pages? Who reads them. I have used ebay and other selling sites. They are self explanatory and straight forward. Why can't ebid function the same way?

Only recently on Review Center there are few more positive ones. When I first came across the site there were mainly negative feedback.According to Review Center only 70.6% people recommend ebid. A bit disappointing as I am looking for an alternative to ebay.

Ok, thanks. You are answering my question. The thing I cannot bring my head round is the card verification. I don't like giving away card details and why is it needed??

eBid frequently ask for verification in order to reduce the number of scammers etc. It is in everyones interest that this is a trusted site. If you do not want to give your card details then contact support and they may take other forms of identification.

    10) Do I need to give you a credit card?

Registration is FREE. If you are listing an item for auction you will need to upgrade your account to SELLER or SELLER+status, each will give you differing access to our selling facilities. A credit or debit card can be used via our secure payment providers. A credit or debit card is currently the only method of obtaining a Security Subscription. SELLER requires a free validation of your card, SELLER+ requires a 7,30,90,365 or Lifetime Security Subscription to be purchased. To see current SELLER+ Security Subscription prices and to upgrade view the My Subscriptions section of My eBid.

I, for one, read help pages. Especially if I am having a problem. It's is amazing what information you can find.
