Well I agree and that's why I've amassed such a large collection of books - because I can't bring myself to throw them away. But the time has now come whereby I have to make some harsh decisions - I simply do not have the space to keep them all and I've failed in my attempts to find them a new home. I've held back the books I want to keep for reference purposes - my old books on Heraldry for example, because those are probably rare and difficult to find now.

I did have some books on the Templars, The Head of God I believe was one of them but I think that's gone now. I still have the Holy Blood and Holy Grail and follow up book The Messianic Legacy if that might be of any interest, but I suspect you've probably already got and read those.

You need an ex like mine - came home from work one day to find she had cleared out two book cases full of my books, most of which were rare and irreplaceable...

Notice I said she is an ex....

No problem, I suspected you probably would have them.

But I will keep an eye open for any other books like that I may have lurking in an unsorted out corner! As you probably know, there's an overlap between where Templar history ends and Masonry begins so quite a few books on Masonry have interesting historical information about the Templars as well.

Sure, I am always happy to help. In fact it will give me an excuse to hold off doing some accounts

Oh, and Dark Liz - I have a pile of unsorted older stock in the garage, I will have a look see later and see if there is anything that may be of use. and don't worry no obligation, and I wont be asking the world should anything pop up, tell you the truth I have forgotten what is out there?

Why would anyone burn old books like that....esp if they are rare?? Whatever they have in them would be interesting from a historical and research point of view......I cringe to think of the knowledge we will never have because of the burning of the Library at Alexandria. Lack of information is dangerous, not information itself.

    Pagan theology

Paganism is not based on doctrine or liturgy. Many pagans believe 'if it harms none, do what you will'. Following this code, Pagan theology is based primarily on experience, with the aim of Pagan ritual being to make contact with the divine in the world that surrounds them.

I wonder if this is why the Church and State are not keen on Pagans.

well my house is filled with historical and occult/witchy/pagan and theatre books (despite my Templar interest I am in fact Pagan myself) I take the mick out of myself sometimes, but certainly take my interests and beliefs seriously at the same time if that makes any sense.
