Store name not showing up in search

What Jan said. If I remember correctly, there needs to be at least one item listed in a store for it to show up on the stores pages.

Your username shows up in search but your store does not because you don't have a store.

They had a store, but either eBid removed it or it was taken offline because eBid deleted all listings due to a rules infringement.

Though last time I tested the taking offline of empty stores was not working. It may have been fixed since then though.

I didn't know that. Checked the OP's page and showed no listings and no store. But your right about breaking rules when listing etc and the action taken by eBid if you do.

Maybe you could contact support and see if they would reinstate the auctions, and find out why they were taken off. Maybe it could be fixed.

Being a little slow with computer, I was not quick enough to correct my oversight before my listings were taken down(actually I was ignorant of the fact that I could not place that link in my description -- not making an excuse, my mistake, obviously)

I don't know how long it takes for stores to show up on searches. I'd think pretty quickly, so am still not clear on the problem with the search. I'm guessing most people do searches by the item they are looking for....or go to the stores tab and then look in the topic they want. Not everyone uses stores, so a lot of items don't show in stores.

If I continue with this site, I'll have to figure out what it is that I am doing wrong...

Personally, I tried using google checkout once....and about tore my hair out. It was much more convoluted than paypal.....so I just avoid it.

I think that I have lost my customer, anyway!

Hello to all trying to help me,

I, myself, did not remove my listings.
I am now waiting to hear from support.
If my listings ever reappear, I will try the various searches and hope to find my store, at last..

After a check the automatic taking offline of an empty store still does not appear to be working. I created and placed online such (http://astral276-test-store.ebid.net/) over 12 hours ago and it is still there.

I did report this to admin over a year ago and they stated they were going to look into it. Must still be looking.

Empty stores do still disappear from the Stores list though.

This link worked, but how does anyone does a search with having to enter all this? I thought entering the name of the Store was enough to do a search under "Store"

Something you could try (as you made mention of the French site earlier):

• Go to any one of your listings.
• Scroll down to the Shipping Details area.
• Ensure Calculate Shipping to: is set to the US (if not set it to the US and click the Calculate button).

I have checked the above and offer free shipping, so that should not be an issue

I have my listings back up and showing, but I still can't get my Store in "Search" but just entering "Art Objects"

I have just turned "ON" again in Store (second time in 24hrs) as I noticed, reading your message, that it was OFF. Perhaps, it will start showing up soon. I hope so, as I am beginning to wonder if it's all worth it....
