With MaO Please!

I have had 6 make an offer sales. It worked perfectly. Very happy with this new feature. Allows me to move some of my older stock.

I seem to be having trouble finding the page in eBid's help section that explains how this new MaO option works. How does one get to the page that describes any restrictions such as how many offers & counteroffers are permitted, how long the seller has to consider the offer, how long the offer remains valid and things like that.

I don't think that level of detail has been published anywhere yet.

Noticed it does not show on auctions if you enter through "Auctions I'm Running" (top left area in "My eBid"). It lists bid and buy as methods.

Fixed in test area, uploading to live soon.

Thanks, Kim! Your reply on the other thread is right on. I think I was just expecting more detail in how the new option works in the help section. I suppose it's another case of my letting technicalities get in the way. Of course, I'm not sure how many "Private" sellers in the UK have to take a state board exam to be licensed. It tends to make one aware of the technical aspects of things.

There is one thing missing IMHO. There needs to be the ability to write a note to the seller when making an offer.

Example --- I needed the item sent to another address and some sellers don't wish to send to an address that is not 'verified' --- I also wanted a message included.

The info needed to be a part of my offer but instead I had to send a PM or use Ask a Question.

There should not have needed to be any contact prior to the MaO but without it I could not have made the offer.

I received a traditional bin purchase from a newbie (awaiting payment); and I have 19 active bids going with 1 seller.

So still busy as buyer/seller on eBid until a MaO comes through.

Yep, also just bought something via mao, and could have used a message box in there too. Luckily the seller was a forum user so was familiar with the PM system and we made contact that way.
