Thread: No feedback left

I have a buyer who has bought two items at different times and has yet to leave feedback.
Feedback is important to me as it shows other buyers your worth I have over nine thousand feedbacks on ebay.
I agree ebid should award points for successful sales should the buyer not bother to reply.
I have sent my buyer six plus emails todate with no reply ( they have a feedback rating of 17 )
FEEDBACK IS IMPORTANT,COME ON EBID SORT THIS PROBLEM OUT!

You really think it is a good idea to send that many feedback reminders to a buyer?

If I received that many - you wouldnt see me as a customer again, and certainly wouldnt be getting any feedback from me.

I get annoyed with the fact that I get a reminder from ebid every now and again.

Oh! With that many reminders they would get a feedback from me but it wouldn't be a positive one

I started being active here about 2 years ago. At that point, I decided not to import feedback from elsewhere.

I use craft items, so I found some good established eBid sellers and started buying from them to build up my feedback as a buyer here. Then I sold my 1st eBid item to a forum member, who also gave me some constructive feedback on how to improve my listings. It took about 3 weeks for me to have my first sale.

I've participated on the forums, used the plug your auctions thread, and participated some in the YDC charity auctions. Since I'm not that knowledgeable about facebook and other social media sites, I'm trying to learn about them as well. It's an ongoing process.

Ditto, though many buyers do leave fb and I do appreciate it.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

What about a seller not leaving feedback? I have purchased an item, left feedback and never received it in return...

For new sellers, getting those first few feedbacks is really important. I read the forums about what newbies should be doing and did what I could. After being a seller year for 11 months, I finally received my first sale and was so happy because I finally expected to get my first positive feedback on Ebid.

And of course the buyer chose not to supply it.

Since he paid promptly and was new to Ebid, I gave him his first positive feedback. I followed up by leaving a question for the buyer to make sure he was satisfied, with no reply. Worried that something went awry, I send him an email asking if he received the item, and he said everything was "perfect." I replied back to him and did something I never did in 6 years of selling in the "other place", which is ask for him to leave feedback.

I am really not a fan of asking for feedback. If I do a great job, accurately describe my item well, have good photos, price fairly, mail promptly, protect my items well, stay in touch with my buyers, then feedback should take care of itself.

However, I sympathize with the original poster, because its taken so long to get that sale and now it will even be longer before I get that first seller feedback. Many of the items are getting numerous views, and I cannot help thinking that people are nervous about being my first customer.

I agree that feedback is important to new sellers. But it is optional and multiple reminders could get you feedback you don't desire!!!

Just move on and in time - with patience - you will build up your feedback.

    Good luck.

I've given up on feedback, they either do or they don't
I give feedback at the right time, rest is history
