Question Item number #....does anyone use it for selling?

As a seller, on my invoices to customer, I see item description followed by Item #. The question is how can I make use of this number? Do you as a buyer, or seller make use of the number, how? I understand administration makes use of the number to pin point the item.

I use the SKU# for my inventory, (and would like to see the SKU# after the item #), just wondering if I'm missing something with the item #.

Can't say I use it for anything myself.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I use it on my packing slip to help identify their order and I use it in my sales bookkeeping.
    My stores:
    Ropegg
    Cups-Cups-Cups
    And Other Stuff
    Peggy A's Jewels

God Bless and have a great day!!!!

You could use it for the first run through on 1 to 10 automatic relists. If you manually relist an item then the number changes.

I can only speak for myself, but I would NEVER put my SKU on an invoice or packing slip. It's an easy way to 'track' an item to see where you've gotten it from, especially if you dropship...just MHO...

A SKU# is a number I put into the listing (my inventory item number), not traceable or useable to anyone but me. Was hoping to find a use for the ITEM #. or if anyone uses this number for an inventory number?
