Thread: Deleting listings that don't conform to eBid guidelines

Default Deleting listings that don't conform to eBid guidelines

I know that this has been discussed before many times.

Please set up a system s that a seller is notified if their listing has an error and then move the listing to the unsold folder.

If a seller has a lot of listings, doing a complete search of inventory to determine which item(s) happened to be deleted is very time consuming. Time that could be spent listing new items instead.

    This would sure help.

    :-)

I couldn't agree with you more. If for some reason eBid admin removes a listing for violation(s) it would be ideal for us sellers to be able to correct/fix the listing if it were put in our My eBid Dashboard...something like this:

    Selling
    Auctions I'm Running
    Auctions I Ran sold unsold
    Auctions in Violation

As you stated in your OP this would give sellers like you and I with 1,000+ listings, and many many others the ability to locate the offending listing(s) quickly and repair/replace them.

    Just MHO...

Good idea, but I think there would have to be a maximum number of times one could attempt a repair.

If not you might have the situation where a seller just keeps on attempting to relist a sale without correcting the actual problem which caused the listing to be removed.

They must be working on something because I got an email when I had some duplicate listings the other day when things were stuck. It gives me hope they are working on getting this problem worked out.

When they move your listing to the "In Violations" folder they could attach a note to it to say why it was removed from active listings and what it would take to fix the listing.

    Excellent idea, removes the guesswork.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Gosh, I think I finally had a good idea!!

Yep, if they would add that in our Dashboard it would solve a lot of headaches...

I had a message from Mark. He mentioned an email and asked if I needed further clarification.

I didn't receive an email. Checked my spam file. Checked my email settings in my profile. There's probably something obvious that I'm missing.

Some sort of explanation is needed When a listing is removed. Hopefully it will be one of the next things they work on for us. I think most of us read the rules and try to comply, but things do happen, and in order not to make the same mistake over and over it helps to know what we did wrong.

A person can easily list in the wrong category or have a duplicate listing. I list my items one by one, but sometimes use "list similar" instead of the templates from my defaults. If I miss changing a field, then there is potential for error. Only human. :-)
