Yes I still like the science shows and I believe they are bringing back horizon, really getting back into "science" since returning to school. We tend to record them all so the kids can hopefully learn from them, plus they are really good and interesting (well some are anyway!!)
There are so many classic progs, many I had forgotton about!!

I do miss "School House Rock."
its nice to have threads like this as it triggers all your memories, of happy times, and good programs
Anyone in Scotland use to watch a program called Mr. Fixit?
Had two puppets, Rosabell and Hoppy, and Roy Kinnear in it.
First one I remember (& I'm showin' me age 'ere) was a radio show called "Yes What" Was set in a classroom with teacher trying to control unruly dumb clucks. My favourite was "Greenbottle".
Strange thing was - for an Aussie program - most of the parts were played with British accents, which was par for the course in those days. (apparently more posh) Y'tube has examples of this.
Otherwise all the old Brit comedies eg. Not Only But Also (Peter Cook & Dudley More), Steptoe & Son, Till Death Us Do Part, Charlie Drake, Benny Hill, The Two Ronnies, Open All Hours, Porridge, Fawlty Towers, Monty Python, etc. etc. ad infinitum.
And now - Mrs Brown's Boys
AN OLD RADIO , that run on a battery , and I am sure it was called . LOST IN SPACE ...were terrified....had the gas lights down very low.....magic..........papa.
