So why bring Ebay up on Ebid.
So why bring Ebay up on Ebid.
Reincarnation is just another repeat
I do sympathise Nightwingcreations and understand your anger.
It was actually through me being f----- over myself and in utter disbelief and my own ire at their behaviour that I tapped some words into google that actually led me to ebid, so my anger at them did me a favour in the end! lol.
Those words, childish though you could say I was (and am sometimes) were I hate ebay! lol
Welcome on board anyhow and hope you enjoy here, its a great site. Very friendly and helpful and run by real people who do listen and respond constructively and positively to anything you say or ask. They post personally iin the forums too sometimes.
It is slower on here, obviously we are still growing as a site, it is completely different here so one door has closed for you and another opened. You need to do far moreself promoting too, because we are smaller.
Just come to the forums for any advice and to chat about anything in between setting yourself up here.
And good luck!
My posts only state my own opinions, unless I've stolen them from someone else
Feepay is bad enough, but the big river is worse.
They contacted me recently to ask if I wanted to sell there, I explained politely that I would never sell on the big river again and told him why.
He saw my feepay account and wanted to poach the business. If they call anyone here on the same basis, be wary! Read their terms & conditions, especially the part where THEY can hold some or all of your funds indefinitely! It doesn't say that directly but it does translate into that, I know, they tried it with me. They gave me my money after 3 months, I was in the process of seeking legal advice when they did. Read their forums, its full of similar cases, funds on hold 6 months, even a year.
I haven't had any trouble with feepay yet, my account there is 100%.
I remember everything, even what happened tomorrow.

Join me on eBid here.
God bless eBid and all who sale in her!
Powerseller just means you sold a lot.
How strange. Definitly strange not to mention more trouble than its worth mosty of the time, over there. I had a guy abroad a few weeks back buy a DVD from me, and then refuse to pay unless I gave him my bank account number and my PIN! This despite my listing clearly saying I only accept Paypal from buyers overseas.. (and If I didnt, he said he would leave negative feedback) I reported him to ebay, they didnt do anything (but I also told the Police and he ended up leaving me a positive even though he still hadnt paid for - or therefore been sent - the DVD)It is definitely getting crazy over there. I do hope you sent your customers a personal email as to why you refunded their money so they know it was all caused by the bay since the bay was going to hold your funds for 21 days and you did not want to delay shipping for that time period.
Luckily, sales here are going up, so I use feepay less and less now.
I think you did well to explain to your customers, though I, personally, would have probably honoured those sales and then packed up.![]()
I had the same thing - once - so I called them - pointed out his message, and they were quite happy to cancel the transaction as it contravened their feedback policies.
(was a similar reason - I only accept paypal from customers outside UK - yet he insisted he was going to pay by money order)
I might be in charge of some things, but I don't make the rules on eBay. I was replying as a customer after a discussion about this with another regular eBay customer.
I stopped selling on eBay when that 21 day rule came in...but if it had happened the way it happened to you I would have put my paying customers first and sent the goods and waited for the money to turn up as my gripe would have been with eBay not my customers.
Oh Good!
An Ebay thread.
And here's me thinking I was on the wrong site.
Don't you like cookies?
I think people forget that these forums are picked up by google.
When someone comes on here like the OP did...it makes this forum look like a bunch of eBay haters...which I am not...I just can't afford to run my business on there...I left once I decided the rules no longer worked for me.
