I love olive oil and use it loads. What's your idea of a good meal, then?

I like to watch Bobby Flay, Emerald, and Rachel Ray........all entertaining. Keep planning on taking in a cooking/tasting show at the Convention Center. Reluctant to cough up the bucks. So, will continue to wait for a paid invite.

Nothing against olive oil as such. The chefs just keep reminding me that i can't afford to live on what they cook.Even when they do a budget meal it costs a lot of money. Now if they could do a nice programe on cooking with scrag end and half an old cabbage i would watch it.Its the same with holiday programs their idea of cheap is a thousand pounds for 4 days.

One of the advantages of being a veggie is that cabbage is cheaper than steak, so I can spend the difference on olive oil.

I don't think I'd fancy a cabbage burger dripping in oil like! yukky!

I wouldn't fancy one even without the oil. I'm still stuck on a meat, potato and vegetable meal. Both my kids manage restaurants so we are always stocked with extra virgin olive oil. Although I dont pay for it I still use it sparingly as it does have an overpowering taste imo, but probably healthier then butter which I use heavily.
