But still nothing changes…134 Millions vs 4,6 millions listed item is big big big differences…and many buyers know that and still shop on eBay because many buyer’s don’t know for existence of eBid because of advertising…In the end my personal opinion after all If eBid goes with eBay in same time long time ago with fees and with big advertising around 2000-2001 and not keep raising fees for everything like eBay I wonder this days will be eBay still where is now...(very big business chances in that time just pass by…)…AMEN…...

You have to remember that out of those 134 million listings, many of them are duplicated several times, with a lot of same listings X 10 posts each.

Here on eBid you are allowed 1 post per same item. If we were allowed to post same items 10 times each then our count would look very similar to eBay.

Ebid need to target some of those ebay sellers to come over to ebid and stay here for a year. To get ebid listings up to say 20 million.
But first they probably need to release an api.
Another problem is that ebid's traffic (Alexa rating) has been going down for the last 3 months.

alexa ratings are over rated , it does not tell you everything just means might be lull due to people skint
or people could be buying in one lot not keep coming back every few days

Well…I respect anyone opinion but my still is same what if…in that time eBid goes like eBay…and anyone can see word of the mouth or try to find buyer’s around is not going to work for whole auction site maybe just for some seller’s but still even after that if work for some seller’s not one can make living from eBid like from eBay long time ago… and after many years anyone can see that clearly…I know eBid is UK auction based site but what is amazing to me one eBay long time ago ‘’take over’’ and drive in many buyers and seller’s on eBay which is USA auction based site…and I think ‘’thanks’’ for all that eBay can say for big advertising nothing else…period…for that reason I say before What if eBid goes like eBay with same path of advertising but not raising fees for everything…I mean in that time eBay and eBid have only couple peoples who start work and keep auction site running…eBay charge fees and top of that borrow the money for advertising…eBid goes for difference business plan and after 1998 to 2011 here we go…where we now… I mean in this business article from stock marker where many peoples read news all around nobody mentioned eBid…bigger consumers market in whole world works very simple….is just like example for US President election always ‘’show up’’ only two candidates on TV all around USA every 24 hours without stopping but we have third candidate even fourth one but other guys ‘’don’t show up’’ on bigger audience or TV and guess what…? Answer is very simple…never…ever in modern era won election and elected like president guy who not ‘’show up’’ daily on TV or the news…peoples just don’t know if not see that person day to day….after person is elected you’re no need anymore TV or that daily advertising you’re well know ‘’forever’’ simple as that…AMEN….....

tv advertising does not always work another auction site tried it now they are closed ? it all comes down to having many sellers selling different items at competitive prices

Like I say ''In that time like eBay do''...and now everything is too late because after 10 years advertising prices is tripled or even more...and now we can only ''count'' on yourself...I do in way of listing every 24 hours new items and I have buyers (right now I have 3 my items receiving bids)...but all that is far away from my previous sales on eBay long time ago where I have almost similar items like now and in that time I selling about $250.00 a day....well if that my items works before and have many buyer's (In that time million's seller's selling similar items like my and many have similar sales) I don't see any other reason why not on eBid in same way because more of 8,000 listed item person can reach easly a less if not make that money a less can reach to sell 100-150 items a day...because my items is very cheap with very cheap shipping even for overseas buyer's and again all that stuff works on eBay before but in here...hmmm...I just say ''advertising'' and let people to know...but now I say again is very late for that....cost too much money...in 2000-2001 it is not...AMEN......

I left ebid over a year ago due to virtually no sales in 2 years, but decided to give it another try as I really like the site and it's friendly people - but sadly I'm hearing the same old thoughts - need more advertising, need a wider range of products - and of course, need more traffic / buyers!!

but it's still good to be back
