It is very interesting to see that some have made sales or purchases through them [currently 58%]. Might reconsider trying it again.
Since my post # 9, the results of this poll continue to surprise me more and more. The response of "No, but would if someone listed right item" has gone up to 46%. And the responses to "Yes, have bought 1 or more times from a plug thread" is at 49% (# of participants increased). Together, that's 95% of the respondents seem open to the idea of buying through a plug thread.

If this is so, it seems strange that more people are not reporting sales from this marketing strategy. Even seeing these poll results does not help me to like the plug threads. I enjoy interaction, that's probably why I prefer auctions over bin sales, and I love bidding wars.

Well I put that Burgy because there wasn't a plain No option

Someone else asked for a plain "No" option, which I agree would make sense. This is how actual assessment tools/polls are developed and improved on in terms of clarity, reliability, etc.

I've bought items from the Plug Threads.

I also click on the 'all about' under the avatar on other discussion threads to have a look at what members are selling and have bought via this method, as well as doing a normal search. I think the pics down the left hand side of the discussion boards are a useful way of spotting a nice item as well.

I also nosey about in the "all about" in the forums. The left hand side bar has taken me out of the forums on quite a few occassions, and I have bid from time to time. Most common way for me to purchase is a direct search for item of interest.

If plugs are seen positively, I will plug a gap and plug my plugs (worldwide)

I said no but would buy if i seen something I liked and I have seen things I liked. I would buy more if I can sell more

It would be nice to return the favor of those whom have purchased from ME since I become a member.

Oops, that left hand side bar got me again, not fair. Bid on 6 more items.

Have not been in to visit any plugs yet, not even my own.
