Default Memory Walk For The Alzheimer's Society

I've finally managed to find a local charity fundraising event I can get to.

We are having a charity walk for the Alzheimer's Society on the 24th of September and I have just signed up.

What prompted me to do this is that several friends and family members over the years have developed Alzheimer's Disease. Also...my sister now lives in a beach house on the coast at Stokes bay where the walk is taking place so I will have somewhere to stop off on the way home...lol

I'm going to add some actions this month to help raise some money through the YDC but I would really love it if anyone donates to my page instead of buying chocolate...that should raise at least £200 from just a handful of ebidders

If it rains I will be taking my eBid golf brolly...lol

I can always run to my sister's place for shelter...might have to wait for the end of the walk though.

Thanks for starting off my donations, Meebo.....xxxxxxx

Thanks so much everyone for helping out with bumps and donations ...or both

Just got back on-line to find that ebidders have already been busy donating.

Just for Kim.....those trainers look like mine will look when I have finished.

Haven't decided yet whether to take my walking stick or my walker thingy....would it be cheating to borrow a mobility scooter????...lol

aaw thanks ...I have started walking for half an hour most days in the trainers I will be wearing on the day.

Trouble with that idea is that I am hungry when I get home and am eating tons of food...I might have to be wheeled round the course

Oh no....less than 3 weeks to go.

My son is on holiday that week so I might get some serious walking in before that weekend.

Being a carer doesn't lend itself to disappearing for training on a regular basis.

I have my eBid golf umbrella....just in case it rains....could get some advertising in while I am there
