As a Buyer Ebid removed an item AFTER I paid for it - What Do I do now?

This is my very fist time using Ebid. I am registered as a buyer only. An item I bought and paid for has just removed by Ebid - for my protection of course. So, other than my PayPal payment, I have absolutely no record of the auction. I purchased the item on July 19, paid the invoice on July 20 and the item was removed July 21.

Has anyone else had a similar occurrence? What do you do in this type of situation? What are my options? Any thoughts / opinions / advice is very welcome.

Have you contacted the seller to ask for a refund i would try this first.

Did eBid support tell you they removed it? Wy would they remove something 'for your protection'?
When you type the item number into the search box, will the item come up (number should be on your paypal payment or ebid confirmation email.)
This sounds really strange........I'd email the seller (address found on the confirmation email you should have received from eBid) and see what happened. Maybe just a hiccup in the system, or something. As long as you paid via paypal, if you don't get the item within something like 10 days, you can report it and get your money back usually.

That is odd and not at all a normal occurrence, unless of course the item was on the banned/prohibited items list, (weapons and weapon related mostly). Agree with HM, contact the seller, possibly it was a glitch; if not, you should expect to get your money back from the seller, you can file a claim through Paypal within 30 days of purchase (I believe) if the seller doesn't refund you. I would also contact support: support@ebid.net to check on this.

Does the seller have strike throughs on their name ?

Hardly an auspicious start for a first time buyer.
