Default What would you do next.

I sold a couple of cheap items to a new user, and sent them off to his paypal supplied address.
He is registered on ebid with one postal address and an e-mail address but on paypal with a different address and e-mail,in some e-mails via paypal or ebid he gives yet another version of his address.
He says his parcel hasn't arrived (hardly suprising really) he says he doesn't receive my e-mails (now I know why) and has lodged a complaint with paypal.
I fl I've done what I've been asked to do and I know from experience that poopal will refund him my money.
It's hardly enough money to get excited about but with poopal sticking their oar in I might has well be back on ebay.If I block new bidders (if such a thing is possible) I lose about 95% of what are already very low sales.
Maybe it's time to call it a day here,I can't think what else to do.

As there is a paypal dispute, it could be worth replying via ppal that you sent it to the address supplied by ppal, but that it differs from the one he gives here. I have come across this myself but when I noticed it have asked the buyer which address to use

from what I know , and unless it has been changed ? paypal require you to send it to the address that is registered with them... am sure this is what you should do..like meebo , I have had in the past someone ask for an item to be sent to a different addres , but as most of my stuff went recorded I had some proof and had their email....I really hope you get it sorted....you must not block new users...they are needed..just the same as habeen said about buyers with no feedback....I k now this does not really help , but hope it gets sorted.............papa.

Just remember though it is not a problem with Ebid, this could and does happen on Ebay also, there are no guarantees - we can all only take the best precautions we can, then hope for the bett

reply to paypal showing the address you sent to (ie the paypal address) and then show them the other address the byer gave you AFTER YOU SENT THE ITEM and you might also add the ebid address given... you are right you "might" lose your case but it's worth pointing out the "hassle" with the now 3 address you have been given by the buyer........ you might also ring paypal as well (they are not the ogers they are made out to be when talking to a human)

and of course tell paypal about the nonmatching email addresses too. Give the actual email addresses to paypal while you're writing to them, too. As you said, no wonder the buyer didn't get all your emails.

I had a similar problem with a scammer some time ago, but as I mailed the parcel to his Paypal address, (and had delivery confirmation of this fact), Paypal supported me and not the scammer. I don't see why you shouldn't have a similar experience with Paypal.

These days I add all shipping details to Paypal, (thanks, Ginny for telling me how to do this), so as to avoid unpleasant surprises. I also send all packages with delivery confirmation for the same reason.

    Good luck and best wishes,

As I thought poopal have already indicated they'll find in the buyers favour.
Ebid seems to attract the newbies and I've had too many problems with new buyers to justify the poor sales on here.I don't see any real alternative to poopal on ebid and have decided to let all my items run their course and as in all these years I've only ever bought one thing I guess there's no point in bothering.
Ebays a pain but along with the aggro you get sales.

If ebid is attracting newbies surely that's great, and what we all want.

My philosophy is not to ever worry about one or two sales that go bad.
That is just part of selling on line, or any where.

Agree with Julie, plus there are other payment options besides Paypal, lots of sellers use Google checkout or Moneybookers, or even good old fashioned money orders if you don't want to pay the middleman.

Best wishes for many sales to all,
