Got an Interview tomorrow morning I so cannot wait for it, This will be my first time at an Interview Can any of you give me any pointers, such as what to do or not to do please?

It's for a job in the Acting Industry, to be an Actor of course!

Keep answers short and to the point
Don't be afaid to ask quesions they will expect it.
They will ask why do you want this.So have an answer before you go.Dont stammer one out when you are asked

Try to find out something about the company and the top people in it. Prepare a couple of questions that display you have taken the trouble to do your research.

Hello Warren , it is a long time since I applied for a job , but as Patriot say , be yourself , yes you might need to embelish bits but be honest...and as Spyder say be ready to tell them why you want the job and possibly , why you should get it....I wish you the best of luck...........papa.

Experience and training is all well and good.......should show on your resume. Be sure to include any volunteer work you have done, regardless of whether it relates to acting or not.....shows a good attitude and willingness to be around people in different situations. Being an actor, you will need to deal with all kinds of people, in all kinds of moods, with all kinds of stressors added. If you are patient, if you learn lines quickly, if you have a sense of humor, if you are willing to learn, if you like being around people..........mention it. These are all factors that would help indicate you would be an asset to the company........which, bottom line, is what they are looking for. And never end a sentence with for. Good luck. And only break the proverbial leg, not the real ones!

Agree with all of the above, especially astral's note to do a bit of homework first. Definitely have short, succinct answers prepared and don't be afraid to be yourself. Oh and do smile, everyone likes to see a smiling face, too many folks at interviews are scared witless and look like deer caught in headlights, but as an actor you likely already know the value of a friendly smile.

Here's hoping you're the next Mel Gibson (one of my favorite actors, he can eat cookies in my bed anytime).

Thank you, Your Majesty. Bows and trips on the kitties but saves the java, maybe I should be a stunt woman.

I like cheaver's suggestion about checking out the BBC page, I know I did countless times when I wanted to write for them. I actually entered a script contest once and was told my submisson made the final cut, but not being a UK resident, I couldn't be considered for the top prize, (a writing job on a BBC sitcom). Needless to say I was disappointed, as I've always wanted to emigrate, but it just isn't in the cards for me, I guess.

Here's hoping your interview goes splendidly and that you wind up on movie screens all over the globe, (with an eBid logo next to your head, of course).
