photo edit help please

Hi all!
Can anybody recommend a photo editor download thing for me please?
I need it just to simply crop photos for listing, the one i had on my computer was from a disk that is refusing to install the programme again since the computer was formatted recently.

Its already on my comp, if you click on a picture what does it open up with

if it opens up in something else, you can change it to open up microsoft picture manage, if you have it

Picasa is another free one. I really like it-I'm not computer smart but I can use it.

I only have fairly basic requirments for photo editing software but I've always found Paint.net to be user-friendly with some nice features (and it's free).

If you are feeling adventurous you could try GIMP it is comparible to photoshop but is freeware.
