    Default "Ask a question" question!

Earlier I asked a question about an item on an auction with 6 days 21 hours left to run. It was one of many which appeared to be of the same item being offered by the same seller. When I left the site I was waiting for an answer in My eBid. However, upon returning to the site, the question no longer shows in My eBid. It doesn't even show as being asked.

I searched and found the seller's listings and it appears that the duplicate listings are still there, but I couldn't find one with my question either answered or asked. I'm wondering, is it possible that the listing was closed & deleted? Would be a possible explanation for the question disappearing from My eBid?

By the way, the listing has disappeared from my watched listings also. No trace. How is that possible?

I think you should report the duplicate listings to ebid support. Duplicate listings are very much against the rules.

Most probably the listing ran out of time.

I had a similar instance several days ago where a buyer asked me a question on an item I had and also noted that they had asked me a question on another item which had disappeared. It turned out that that particular item with the question had run out of listing time and ended up in my unsold folder before I knew about it.

I think if that's all it was, it would appear on the watched list. I think it has to have been deleted, either by the owner or ebid (a bit of a coincidence if so!)

Since it had over 6 days left I sort of doubt it ran out of time. I suppose the seller could have just deleted the listing rather than simply answer the question. Seems a bit odd to me though.

If it still had 6 days to go when the question was asked, then yes, it's obvious the seller went and deleted the listing to erase all trace of the question etc. Bit strange really.

You mean the buyer right? (would appear on the watched list).

There is no buyer, it hasn't been sold. I mean if JaBek asked a question, and the listing finished, as far as I'm aware it should still be on his watched list and he says it wasn't. Is that what you mean? I'm a bit confused about the question, so I hope that's the answer.

Yes, a potential buyer (my definition)
