Default This Is A New One For Me/Seller Won't................

........send me an invoice for both of my won auctions. I was sent an invoice for 1 auction out of 2 that I won. Seller left me a note on one without an invoice stating "that the auction was in dispute, because they received an offer for it, and tried to bid on it, but eBid wrote to them & said they were interfering with an auction". Sounds as if the seller tried to bid on their own auction; or they are weaving one of the most convoluted stories I have ever heard from a seller.

They further told me I could report them to eBid if I wanted to, and that they had no intention of putting any of their items up for auction again. I do know why the seller is so upset, it is the low starting bid that ends in 1 or 2 bids issue. I feel for the seller, but I did win the auction fair & square. I can not make people bid against me. I'm seeing this issue more & more, probably because of the influx of new sellers who have not acclimated to selling on eBid.

I even offered to pay a bit more for my won auction. I also asked for a combined invoice showing my 2 won auctions. Seller has not communicated back. I'm trying to give seller a chance to correct this situation. Walks off shaking head in disbelief.

Personally, the seller's attitude has done it for me.

I wouldn't wait any more. I would contact support@ebid.net and explain to them the situation and that you wish to opt out of the transaction and be done with it. Then leave appropriate feedback.

I'm with Jewels. Your seller has no desire to complete the sale and has already decided to leave so there's no leverage to make them complete. Write off the purchase, report everything to ebid, and walkaway.

I'm with Jewels. The sellers attitude stinks and I would not entertain them, report it to ebid.

I agree, the sellers attitude was unbelievable.

I agree. I think the seller expected me to pay for the 1 invoice, which was more than $100; contact eBid about the other; get 1 neg; & possibly continue to sell via bin. Because they stated they would not list again in auction format. I did respond back & told them if they did not complete the transaction they would not be selling on eBid in any format. My intention was to contact support & end the transactions for both sales & leave the appropriate feedback for both items. Wasn't sure if they would respond. They haven't.

Wow, support responded to my report in less than 2 hours (their second e-mail); which indicated the seller had been suspended & the sales transaction would be removed from my account. I always find support helpful, but they moved on this one with lightening speed! Thank you eBid!

I must admit folks this was quite unpleasant. This seller happened to be a seller+, so I really do believe they wanted to make a go of it on eBid. I have been in similar situations and was accused of trying to protect a non-performing seller. This was not true, but I can not help but be disturbed when potentially "good" sellers arrive on the shores of eBid, strapped down with strategies that work else where, but not on eBid. Now this particular seller defied my sensibilities, so I'm not really addressing this point towards them.

There are some serious sellers showing up lately, some that appear to be power sellers. I think this issue has to be addressed in such a manner that new sellers are advised sooner or in a different way. I know we have the forums, but sellers of certain types of things do not tend to frequent the forums or interact as much as the general eBid community. Also noticing some serious heavy bidding going on in some specialized areas. Just think it would be wise to address these niche sellers.

There seems to be a whole new breed of sellers who start off their items at a such a low price they couldn't possibly be making a profit. On another site this would be to avoid the heavy listing costs and the rules and regs about free postage etc.

I have (elsewhere) won something at auction, no other bidders and like the OP find I have won an item fairly but with the knowledge the value far exceeds my bid. The seller then proceeds to make excuses, claimed to have posted it and ,surprise, surprise I didn't even get a refund.

My advice to anyone selling anywhere... Start your Auction item at the price that will make you comfortable , not greedy. if you start low expect to sell low!!

I have no sympathy for people who try to scam, wriggle out of sales , who are ill mannered and too witless to price items competitavely yet fair to themselves.

I have great regard for fairness, good customer care and people who make a good profit steadily without being Greedy on the postage!!!

I could go on.... But I will conclude by saying scammers, dodgers and bodgers are not the sort we want to see selling on eBid!!!
