We don't need another watch category just because you have one watch to list. The watch categories is a mess with over 150 sub-categories most with no items or just 1 or 2 in them.

It is murder to list watches on here and I'm sure it puts sellers off listing. I know that often I can't be bothered to list my watches here

Is there a better way they could be split into bigger groups, like by era or region of origin? Sorry if that's already been asked for!

IMHO We do not need it split into makers as the make is normally put into the auction title by sensible sellers. Keeping it simple is best

BTW Just having a quick look at the categories I saw that one watchmakers cat "Zeitner" has 243 items and they all appear to be mousemats

Certainly seems like a sensible first re-make. I see nearly everything's in "other" now, which is bonkers.

    And there are two "otherS"

Wristwatches > Others with over 2550 listings
    and
Watches>Other with 3500 listings (mostly of wristwatches)

Both of these contain Brands than could/should be listed under their Brand Name category if they keep the Brand categories

As I said its a real mess

Totally agree - it would be like me wanting a different sub-category all 195 dog breeds I cover (could combine them with the ops request and do sub-cats for watchdogs.
