you would be suprised what some people use as a unit of mesurment. In my line of work i have to take weights and mesurments from the general public all the time and some of the things they come out with are classic.
customers once told me that the weight of an item was and i quote "about the weight of a small child"
and another customer when as how big the item was eg) the measurements "well if i put my arm in it goes up to my elbow????"
