Thread: Problem with Google Checkout

  1. #1

    Unhappy Problem with Google Checkout

I have a customer that wants to pay through Google Checkout. The customer keep getting the error code: 401 Unauthorized Bad username and/or password for API Access.
I have gone through the Google Setup procedures several time, and still can not find the problem. Could someone please help me? I have also e-mail Google without much help.

click on my Google link in my signature and check that you have done everything correctly, including no spaces before and after your key codes which will muck up the system.

Thanks for your reply. The order did finally get corrected. But. know I getting this message from Google:

    Hello falcon085@aol.com,

We've made several unsuccessful attempts to send order notifications to your notification callback URL, https://www.ebid.net/perl/googlecheckout_in.cgl As a result, you aren't receiving order status, risk, or other notifications.

To help you identify the issue with your callback URL, please review the errors we encountered while sending notifications to you. To review this error information:

    Sign in to Google Checkout.
    Click on the Tools tab.
    Click Integration Console.
Error messages will appear under 'Integration Issues.' If necessary, you can also update your callback URL in the 'API callback URL' box on the same page.

For more information about receiving notifications via the notification API, visit http://code.google.com/apis/checkout...l#notification.

Why is it so hard to get this setup with Google? When I was with Ebay and Palpal, everything was easy. With Google there seems to always be problems.
