Another reason ebid needs a nickname

I would just like to say that in some ways I agree with the OP.

I first heard about eBid last year on a feebay forum but I don't remember what name was used. So that's when I joined to have a nosey round, nothing sold after 3 months so left, came back Jan this year, sold a few things but most of it is from my work of promoting my store through e.mailing past customers.

There must be some more ways to get some of those sellers over here. I did recently make a small suggestion and was well and truly pooh-aahed! They didn't seem to want to even give it a go

Don't be silly, it's not about being afraid, she wants the threads to *stay* - they don't achieve anything if they're deleted.

I can't imagine why people are giving such a hard time to somebody who's just trying to help.

I seem to be in a minority as I don't know any of the names used, not even the river which some have recognised. I think I will continue calling things by their given names it is easier.

you are not alone , plenty on here do not know , me included..I do not care who they are , I use eBid , eBid is the name of the site , I know Julie means well , but ???, any other site will quickly find out the nickname and posts will still be removed , so whats the point...sorry , but in my opinion , we joined eBid , so just call it eBid....papa.

Likewise, I am sure that Julie means well - but I still don't see the point - if the nicknames are meaningless how will people recognise them anyway? In a recent poll here people seemed to be saying that other sites shouldn't be discussed on eBid - so why is it then OK to post about eBid elsewhere and expect the post won't be removed?

Actually, yesterday I got my posts pulled from the feebay forum AND I got banned from the forum for 7 days AND I got a warning that if I continue to post subjects that are against policy I will be suspended from selling and buying on the site also.... That's enough to shut me up!
