    Default Seller Sent Wrong Item

I bought a vintage Concert poster as a gift for a loved one. The poster was of great sentimental value, his father told us about going to the show with his mother decades ago. I bought it using the "buy now" feature and paid immediately. A few days later I get in the mail-- A DIFFERENT CONCERT POSTER. I have no interest in the one that was sent to me. I am still waiting for a response from the seller. Is there a way for EBid to compel him to send the item I actually ordered?! At the very least, how can I get my money back??

    How did you pay?
You'll need to return the item to get your money back,
Can eBid compel the seller to send the item? No they cannot as eBid is the venue not the seller, but I would advise you to leave the appropriate feedback when the time is right, but you only joined 4 days ago, so think you are a bit quick in your actions regards worrying about no contact.

Happens everywhere. I got an item sent to me from a Feebay seller that I hadn't even ordered........three weeks later and in addition to the item I ordered!!! Senior moments happen to us all. I finally figured out where it came from, and did my good deed of reposting it on to the rightful owner.
    Ta-Ta for now!

Poor you - don't let it get you down - most of us are only daft on the Forums and handle our orders in a professional manner (I know I am chancing fate here!) - so give us all another chance

Will put my hand up to sending a wrong item , dare say its happened to most sellers, but ive always sorted it out regardless of cost.
I think there is a rule where a seller has a set ammount of time to respond to a question so i would try once again to contact seller and if no joy report it to EBID.

It happens. ebid sellers list hundreds or thousands of items. Believe me its a seller's worst nightmare. I once switched two framed needlework items, each weighed 8 lbs and had to get them back and resend to right buyers. Now I am way more careful.

Not ebid's fault, it gives us the site to use, the extras to help us (SKU number capacity), and it is up to us to do the right thing. Sometimes things happen.

Let seller know immediately and wait for instructions. You will be given money to send back, and your real item will be sent to you. If they do this and apologize, then they deserve positive feedback. We all goof up once in a while, we should be judged on how well we clean up the mistakes.
