Default Some thoughts by a new member

I'm new to eBid but have been on the other site for 10 years, I'd forgotten what it was like to wait for that all important 1st feedback, my 1st purchase here reminded me (as a newbie it's so important).

I craftily chose packaging, inexpensive and with this in the listing-
    feedback
We will submit positive feedback on buyers upon successful checkout completion.
Well paid immediately by P/Pal and nothing, sent a message the next day asking if I had done everything ok as I was new to eBid, response next day was yes and item on way(so knew there wasn't a problem preventing fb being left). I've also sent another message today as item was received thanking them, still nothing.

My point really is new buyers need encouragement.

Disagree, I'm a buyer and seller, would look here first before buying from the other site. I've sold 2 items and bought 1, it would be off putting if I sell and give the courtesy to my buyers by leaving f/b and informing them of posting date etc. but buy and no such courtesy.
My 1st experience wasn't good but hey ho I'll wait and see, I'm a northern lass I don't throw the towel in that easily.

But have you thought PATRIOT73 about your comment below
    "1 flawe in that..........no buyers
    plenty o sellers "

    Why are there less buyers?

What you talkin' about?! Of course there's buyers have a look at my feedback !
Maybe not as many as the other side yet, as the site is smaller, but it is improving.

I always leave feedback as soon as my customers pay. I think it's good manners when people have taken the trouble to come and shop in your store !

Less buyers probably because the buyers are not as tired of the other side as the sellers, after all when you buy you pay only the cost of the item but when you sell there are many extras as we well know.
I understand where you are coming from re the feedback. I, as a seller always leave feedback as soon as payment is made to me because in my opinion the buyers side of the bargain is complete. On the other hand as a buyer I leave feedback once the good arrive. Not every one does that, it is up to the individual. Fortunately feedback on Ebid.net can be edited if necessary.
Good luck I hope you soon get into the swing of selling.

I think you misunderstood my post.

    The Seller states- feedback
We will submit positive feedback on buyers upon successful checkout completion.
    They didn't do that.

I said it may put off new buyers using eBid.

    I fear another mistunderstanding.
I am a seller, my comment "Why are there less buyers" wasn't really a question, but a response to PATRIOT73.

Thank you for your explaination, it was very kind of you.

It is a courtesy & good manners to leave feedback for a buyer,
it is not an obligation for a buyer to leave feedback.

It would be nice to receive half the buddy points for a sale though,
and the other half for positive feedback.
