    Cool watermarking

    Beware of what you watermark!

A year or so ago I had a big kick up the butt by $$Bay for violating their policy! ( had listings removed - had to take some re-education course before i could relist!)....

My violation? my web address a watermark in the photos.......

The crazy thing was........the web address was DIRECTED TO MY $$BAY STORE!!!

Forget that jumping thru hoops site....build promote list EBID!

Its simple enough to make an overlay (watermark) if you use photo shop, simply use the text tool, write your watermark text in a contrasting colour, then select layer properties and set to 20% the text will appear faintly, you can rotate the layer if required, then merge the layers and the jobs done.

There is a watermark feature in Photo shop but its a lot of faffing about.

Why get one that does it one at a time?

    I use this one. http://www.zxt2007.com/index_en.html

Free - I do mine in batches of 175 - takes 3 minutes. (175 being the number of each design I bring out! - it will do more.

Just make your watermark in photoshop or similar as per ACTS post above this one - and click on the watermark in that programme.

Ive done around 3,500 of them so far

How widespread is the thief of pictures so far? Is it worth spending the time to do it if we sell one of a kind items?

strange.. what's wrong with the eBid watermarks on images? - just upload your images ot ebid for use in your auctions, they'll have eBid watermarks right on them..
