I was using it as an adjective not a noun. I doubt if anybody here has put up a brass plate.

I've put down that I only sell here . But I'm sure from time to time I might put something elsewhere - Although for quite a while now I haven't.

I wouldn't class myself as a hobby seller as such. Selling isn't my hobby, just a way of getting rid of some of my old junk, and hopefully getting enough money to buy slightly better junk.......(My real hobby is records, and I've got my eye on a couple of tasty little morsels on here.) - But of course, I need to raise enough cash to pay for them

For those who aren't fussy about filtering what I sell - Take a look at ALL my stuff above. - But for more specific listings, take a peek in the stores below.

TOY-PALLOI - For all sorts of traditional playthings!

THE PAPERBOYS PLEASURE - For Books & Magazines

    OUT ON THE FLOOR - For Records - (mainly 1950's - 60's)

    VIEWPOINT - Photographic Equipment

THE SCRAPYARD - Spare parts for old cars and bikes

I just thought "hobby" sounded better than "unprofessional" or "amateur"

Hobby seller and sell here mostly. Sell on other side maybe once or twice a year. Wind up spending most of my time on the forums however.

Over at the site that shall not be named I used to sell under our Shop name before we closed it down. Since joining ebid I have listed as an individual seller, because most of what I am selling is stuff collected by me and my family over the last 25 years. I have been out of work since July of last year so have had a fair bit of time to list lots of stuff. The rest of the clan keep bringing me boxes or bags of stuff for me to list, so I will be able to list for months.

    P.S. I love the KT

While I think I've made my opinion on the question of Business vs Individual sellers clear on other threads and don't need to elaborate on it here, I find interesting that sellers should consider themselves hobbyists. I myself have always found that when I attempted to combine a hobby with making money I fun part of the hobby soon gives way to the demands of the business side.
