No I am not talking about my images in my listings I am aware of those I said I lost interest and didn't maintain the listing when eBid couldn't tell me why my images in my store were taken down after 90 Days. The solution has been found now read my update

Gazza... every Featured Auction I have used here(about 30)only has kept its image alive in Gallery for the FIRST 60 Days being a Featured Auction.
After that if the auction is still running, it is running without the Gallery Image.. has to be edited to have the auction be a Gallery Auction. Has been this way for over the last 12 Months.

Gazza what FBNeNotes says is absolutly correct ,if you want to see the Emails I sent to your support I will gladly forward them. Thanks to FBNeNotes I have fixed the problem but it was with no thanks to eBids support, it was FBNeNotes support.

I got the distinct impression I was getting the kiss off but I now realize your support didn't know this glitch and wasn't interested in investigating it. We put a lot of work into out initial listings but we let them run to rats because we got no answers or co-operation. We also set about promoting eBid on our feeder blogs but all that stopped too.
Look I like the site, we certainly need an alternative to Ebay so I was very enthusiastic to promote you but when you get no solutions to serious problems it knocks the wind out of your sails. Were back on board now thanks to FBNeNotes.
    Best Regards" John

You've changed your original post! As if we weren't already confused enough. At this point this thread makes even less sense than before.

Problem is fixed now but I don't understand why eBids 'Support" could not have pointed this out in the first place, they lost a client there for a while.
Perhaps because they couldn't figure out what the question was?

Anyone else annoyed by the 60 day image in stores rule ?
Not me. And it sounds like most of us didn't even know what it was.

I did not think that this was a satisfactory answer and I wrote to them several times explaining the folly of this condition. Pointing out that it not only ruined my plans for promotion but it was very sort sighted on their part.
Their answer seemed perfectly descriptive to me. I don't see the "folly", that's the way it's set up, take it or leave it.

I have stopped promoting that idea and taken down all links to the auctions now from my site and its feeders blogs, what’s the point of saying “Go look at our stuff in our eBid Store” if there is nothing but an empty box with a title there. All of my listings are now in a state of disrepair because I don’t have the time to play around with stuff that’s not going to make me money, those days have gone on the internet, there is so much more work involved in maintaining a presence, wasting it on things like an intransigent eBid isn’t an option for me.
I checked the link on your new "first post", and your listings look fine. So what's this about now?

As far as I have been able to figure it out the issue is that when a Featured listing hits 60 days it reverts to a 'normal' listing and loses it's Gallery image. Some seem to think that rather than a 'normal' listing being a Standard listing it should be a Gallery listing complete with picture in search results and stores (though eBid does not state that it will retain the gallery image).

I could still be wrong though as I am as confused as most people.

Its about sorting out an anomaly and clarifying the situation, not only for me but anyone else that may come across this problem. If its out of your realm of experience then leave it be and don't be such a sycophant, if these things are not discussed how the heck do you think the site will have its glitches ironed? The problem has been corrected on my store thanks to the help of FBNeNotes, but its one that eBid need to take note of and not palm people off by quoting their terms and conditions. After 60 days you have to change your settings, no one was making that clear except FBNeNotes. Get it now?

I just love the Ignore List.. I may miss points of a subject post.. but I much rather not read some folks comments when they are almost always on a different ballfield with dense grass.
Some folk will never get it.

    23) What is a "Featured Auction" listing?
Featured Auctions are shown at the top of your allocated category and subcategory pages, in their own section above all the free and gallery auctions. They include a thumbnail in the search result and category listing pages. If you opt for "on first bid" or "run until sold" the auction will remain as a featured for 60 days before becoming a normal listing.
It states a Normal Listing, it doesn't state a Gallery Listing, so I don't think it's a glitch, just the way it's been set up.

If it reverted to Gallery automatically, it would probably also charge the 2% fvf on a sale incurred automatically as well, which would undoubtedly cause more complaints

Hi everyone.. How about changing that 60-90 day policy and let us decide when to delete these photo's. There should be an unlimited amount of time to keep photo's in your folder. I need to delete two photo's that the items are not being re-listed anymore and I have to keep waiting until eBid decides to delete them on their own. Please give us the ability to delete photo's as soon as we click the delete button. I do not need them on here any longer. Thanks!!
