    Question Item not as described.

    Does anyone if ebid has any policy guiding "item not as described" because some sellers tend to send a wrong item after recieving payment. I want to know what ebid has to say about this.

    Hi and welcome to eBid. I can't help you with that inquiry but suggest you read through the relatively brief terms eBid publishes in the Help/FAQ section.

    Of course like other online selling venues, we depend on feedback from both buyer and seller to inform others of the facts of transactions.

    I hope you aren't experiencing buyer's remorse over something you've bought already, apparently having joined just yesterday. It's always good policy to send a question to a seller, before placing a buy or bid, to see how the seller will respond, or if the seller will respond, and it's just as important to wait for an invoice before sending payment. If not, your payment might somehow vanish into limbo.

    I do wish you enjoyment here. It's a fine place.

    Sorry to see you fell for that scammer so quickly

    When someone copies there pictures and description from a consumer report website, it is likely they do not have the item listed

    Hopefully you used a credit card through paypig
    Paypig alone has no buyer protecton

    If you recieve an iphone I'll eat my shorts

    Ah ha! I see, my mistake. OP was asking what would happen if he got item not as described not that it actually has happened yet.

    To most sellers, the worst thing that can happen is to accidently send the wrong item to the buyer. Costs a lot of money in return postage, and we do all we can to prevent it from happening.

    As with all "accidents" there will be people who do it on purpose for their own reasons. Scammers.

    If you have bought online before and had something go wrong, you know the drill: contact seller & work out problem, if that does not work, contact PayPal to stop payment, contact ebid to report seller, and give the seller negative to warn others. Do last three ASAP.

    In which case it seems the OP expects to be scammed (in which case why did they buy the item in the first place)

    "Item not as described" is a term usually associated with a particular payment method. I'm not sure what this has to do with the selling site?

    However, if you report a problem with a seller and leave appropriate negative feedback, that seller is usually suspended during investigation and then banned if deemed to have acted improperly. Does that answer your question?
