I think the majority of ebid users are outside the U.S. I use to other sites, include *bay and still selling there, and doing more on the other. But nada here. Well I wish you luck. Cheers,

Many of us have daily sales but we worked very hard to get there. About 3/4 of my customers are US, 1/4 UK Canada, Austrialia etc.

Look up past forums and see the 20 or so selling tips that you need to incorporate in order to sell on ebid. If you follow these tips you will sell here. You can't just wait and hope things change, you have to change to appeal to customers here.

Having more than 6 items is very important. Being Seller+ gives you the option of putting on thousands of items and never putting out a penny until they sell. Its a whole different philosophy from feebay, where we paid $1 or so to list each item and + more fees to relist, so stocking many items was too expensive. Here it is not. Here you are essentually given 5 free stores to stock as you wish to attract customers. Six items do not attract customers, 600+ do. The more you list, the more you sell.

I urge you to read past forums and start using those selling tips that we have discussed.

Good luck on feebay, do NOT accept the idea that no one sells here. Set a goal, work toward that goal, and get your sales up to the level that you want them.

When I sell elsewhere, I include a note in package re: ebid and let them know my items are less expensive here. I also list my items on Craigs List with a link to my ebid store so local residents notice my items.

Sales are definitely slower on ebid than the 'other' side, but I'm not giving up. It costs my nothing to list unless item sells, so I consider that a great deal. I wish you luck and hope you have your first sale here soon!

Exactly but that changes daily. In 6 months we will not recognize ebid because of the rapid growth it is enjoying daily. And, unfortunately, the economy in US is worst since the Great Depression, so that is putting damper on all sales everywhere. But that will change too. I think that now is the perfect time to stock the stores (costs nothing), polish the listings, and get everything in order.

Most members sell to their own countries. About 75% of my buyers are US, rest in UK, Canada, and Australia. I have many multiple buyers in US, which I think is because I offer a shipping discount for multiples. Anyone who sees a different pattern should take steps to target their local people by offering shipping discounts, etc.

Many of us sell in other places, best not to put all your eggs in one basket. Good idea to be sensible, sit down and write a bit of a business plan with goals and then work to achieving those goals. Helps to focus, and helps to listen to other members who suggest changes that need to be made to achieve your goals.

Sorry PaPa, it is the wrong place to have this thread.

    Hi,

So im a newbie and am trying to work out the best way to drive sales to my eBid shop from my old feebay shop. My feedback on feebay is 6000+, can i incorporate that somewhere ?, and how did the person who put a link on not get it taken down, canty work that one out.

Also, how do i add in shipping a price per extra item, as i think when a buyer purchases more than one item the shipping will come up as double or as it is for one item.

    Thx for your time.

Yes you can import your feedbacks, just go to your "my ebid" tab and then to feedbacks and it should have a tab to import feedbacks and repatoo should pop right up to guide you thru.

    Hi and welcome to ebid.

Multiples are tricky because when you put the weight and method in the listing for shipping the one item, you included a bit for the wrapping. But if the buyer takes 10 items that little bit of extra wrapping weight adds up and the postage and method are wrong (items plus 10 wrapping, when you need only one wrapping). Multiples always need adjustment in shipping and method to correct the invoice.

Remember to contact your past customers and let them know that you moved to ebid. They can give you your first sales on ebid and start you off in the right direction.

After you set everything up, give it a week or so and if you have not sold anything, come back and ask us to look at your listings. We can suggest a few tweeks to get your sales going.

Hi, I joined a few months ago from ebay as well. I was worried at first I had made a mistake but I have just got my first bid in for one of my bears I am delighted and I'm looking forward to my first feedback for selling I have 3 for buying. I might try the ukcollector advice as I have over 2000 feedbacks on ebay and 100% positive but I still didn't get one of there gold medals??? What was that all about? Good luck
