Searches and Ebid Items on the web

Good Morning eBidders. Just for once I am serious. Maybe it is the cold in me head that is brewing nicely!

I obtained some original works by an artist a few years ago. I decided to sell them. I put a couple on eBid and the rest elsewhere (You know THAT site) to sell a bit quicker as eBid is still slow for me. After all cash needed for Xmas!!

Interestingly this morning I decided to look for any other works by the artist... Up popped the pictures on other site Which are no longer for sale there. Also the other site had an "Art Shop" under which they appeared. Not a mention anywhere of the ones on eBid.

Ebid items really NEED to be exposed more in searches. They used to appear in Google product Search, but alas no longer it would seem. Put name in and NOTHING.. even though I have a buy it now on!

As there are few works by this artist. The market is not innundated! Her name is fairly unique. A search for her work should bring up all my items.

What can we do more to get eBid at the top of search lists? Can we the sellers do it or is it up to Mark and Gazza?

I really don't want to make my own web site. I really want to retire properly and just sell off stuff collected over forty odd years of householding!!

Any thoughts or ideas please? I do do my bit for eBid advertising at every opportunity.. right down to illicit links over there>>>>>>>

Are you sure that you have got the correct box ticked in the my default section?

Just a side thought!!! Maybe the "Shop" thingy that the otherside has could work for eBid... The eBid Art shop.... the eBid Clothes shop... etc...

It would appear that over there some auction categories have been given a separate search format and all items in that category appear in "The ...... Shop"

I would put in the link to demonstrate but for obvious reasons can't.

If you have it selected to yes then I would email Gazza as I have done 4 searches on google shopping for your items with a buy price and none show, I think they should be showing.

Most of my items are showing up in google products as usual. Why yours are not I don't know.

Just to be sure ... don't want to appear stoopid... (easily done for me) Most of my items are auctions with a BIN price. Are these displayed in product search or does the item have to be ONLY Buy it Now?

Hummm just did a little search for 'dichroic glass' under £20 and not a sign of anything on ebid !

Did another search for 'dichroic glass & sterling silver ' and the eBid shops are there ! Why should that be ? Why isn't it being picked up on just 'dichroic glass' ?!

Works OK for me. 44 results for dichroic glass (37 under 20.00) including 7 from you.
