I do that too.

My 18 year old insists on a stocking every year. She says it is the best bit about Christmas.

my three daughters ( 36,34 and 32) still want their colouring book and crayons in their stocking, didnt do it a couple of years back and had the sulks from all of them, so the ritual was re started.

we have to all put our socks out the night before with names on, off course and their always has to be a apple and orange
when i was little we always had to sit at the bottom of the stairs while mum went into the front room to see if he had been
i make my lot do the same,
gonna be real strange without the eldest lad here this year he's setting up home with his girlfreind next weekend after he has got over the swine flu

well he will be invited (that sounds strange) but they will probaly go to her mums
as long as he is here on boxing day i have all the family its brillliant and we all try....
last year my nephew got stabbed xmas eve so we had a smaller one then one later on it was like two xmases.
just hoping this year my brother in law will be out of christies in time with the all clear, he is due to go in for 6 weeks so fingers crossed
