    I Love Cheese Burgers

    This is a recipe for Possum and taters Enjoy

    Ingredients
    • 1 opossum, cut into serving pieces
    • water to cover
    • 2 teaspoons of salt
    • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
    • 4 baking-size sweet potatoes, pared and quartered
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 stick cold margarine, chopped



    Directions
    1. Skin and dress oppossum.
    2. Put in dutch oven and cover with water
    3. add salt and pepper
    4. Cover and cook over medium heat until very tender.
    5. Place opposum pieces in center of a large baking pan and arrange sweet potatoes around them
    6. sprinkle sugar and margarine over potatoes
    7. pour 2 cups of broth from cooked opposum over all
    8. place in preheated 375 degree oven and bake until potatoes are fork tender, slightly browned, and broth has evaporated.

    And Possum Stew ...


    Ingredients
    • One possum, skinned, pieced
    • Couple of onions, potatos, other veggies yer
    • choice ..chop or slice em ....however
    • 1 can of mushroom soup
    • 2 cans of beef gravy
    • 1 can of water
    • Tbsp each of pepper, garlic salt



    Directions
    1. Boil the possum meat in a large pot of water
    2. with a half cup of salt for about half a day.
    3. Pour the water out and add all the stuff to it.
    4. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered 4 to 8 hrs.

    I assume your Dutch Oven is a different item to my interpretation of a dutch oven?
