Transfer Auctions into Store?

I find the bulk edit tool a breeze... is it the tool itself you're struggling with, or is it the issue of how to split your listings into logical buckets so that you can associate them with the appropriate shop categories - the issue I identified before? If it's the former, describe the problem and I'll try to help, the latter's your problem I'm afraid.

Well, I just tried again and still cant get it to work.

You will first need to build the stores, store categories and store subcategories that are going to be the destination of the move. As far as I can see you have not done that yet.

Then you can create buckets from the existing eBid categories that your items reside in. Using your items currently under Computing as an example...

Build your first bucket containing your Printers stuff:

Select the Computing category and Printers subcategory and click the Search Auctions button.

On the next screen check all the items you want to move over (use the Chk All button near the top if you are happy will all of them) and click on the Add Selected Auctions To Bucket button.

On the next screen click the Edit This Bucket Of (x) Auctions Now link.

On the next screen tick the Enable box next to eBid Store Category and select the desired destination from the drop down box.

Finally click the Submit Changes For Review button.

Repeat the above for each group of items you currently have listed. E.g.:

Computing > Software
Clothing & Accessories > Womens Clothes
Clothing & Accessories > Mens Clothes
Health & Beauty > Other
etc.

Thanks very much for that, I've cracked it! Easy when you know how. The only slight aggro now is I've got to tick each item individually as I cant see a 'Tick All' box, but I guess I can live with that.

By the way, we are almost neighbours, I'm only 30 miles away at Woodhall Spa.

OK, thanks to Mel I now know how to transfer items from the auction to different catagories in my new store BUT they dont show as an item count in the catagories. In one of my catagories it says (0) when in fact there are 1074 items in it!

So, the next puzzle to solve is how do I fix that - so the count shows the correct number?

Hi again,

Further to the link Mel sent me saying the stores are updated at 1am and 1pm (UK time) - well, it's 4pm and the catagory counts still havent updated to the actual number of items in the store.

I have nearly 7,000 items in store but according to the catagories I only have 40 items in stock???

Any other thoughts?
