We will be purging over 4 million images at 2am Saturday (London) 9pm Friday (New York) , a slight degrade of our image uploading may occur during this time. This is a one off while we get up to date. We envisage this to continue for at least 2 hours.

That's not difficult. approx 2.5 million active listings (sorry don't know what the exact figure is). For about a month now we've been able to add up to 5 images perlisting for free; and we've always been able to add multiple images. All sold/ended items remain on the server for 3 months after they've been sold, potentiallywith more then one image each - you soon get to the 4m figure.
