Recently sold an item, and buyer selected PayPal as payment method. She paid the total amount then indicated in her PayPal account screen, not realising that the postage amount displayed was incorrect (although the postage on the listing was correct).
This caused some inconvenience for the buyer and myself as she had to send a second payment to make up the difference. As a new buyer, she was unimpressed by her experience although I hastened to tell her that the problem was not eBid's fault.
Whose fault is it then? Is it an eBid site glitch? or a problem on the PayPal side? It would be nice to know, as this type of problem is sure to put off a lot of buyers from returning to eBid.
(Note - I did not send an invoice as the item was paid for (in part) before I received notification of the sale).
